Our Story

Ristorante Sapori opened in January 1993 to stellar reviews. Since opening, Sapori has continued to earn Four Star reviews as well as Florida Trend’s Golden Spoon Award, designation as One of America’s Best Italian Restaurants, and has been one of the highest rated Zagat restaurants in South Florida, with an almost perfect “food” score of 28.

For the past 25 years, Chef Marco Pindo has continued to delight the palates of diners. Always ahead of the curve, self-styled, and innovative, Sapori has proven itself to be an enduring fixture in the ever changing South Florida dining landscape.

Sapori is not just another Italian restaurant. While we offer traditional Italian dishes, Sapori has become known for its “innovative Italian cuisine”, as well as the freshest fish and seafood and exceptional homemade pasta sauces. Sapori has remained on the cutting edge of Florida’s finest dining.

Our Chef

Chef Marco Pindo comes from a small town in the Abruzzo region of Italy — a region hailed for the production of some of the most talented chefs in the country and the world. It is both there and in the United States that Chef Marco has perfected his craft. Through Chef Marco’s undeniable talent, touch, and commitment to quality, he has brought the traditions of a true Italian restaurant to South Florida.

For Chef Marco, the real stars of the show will always be the freshest and finest ingredients. To bring out the true “sapori” of the dish, Marco prepares these ingredients in the simplest of ways. Many of these ingredients are imported directly from Italy, some of which you’ve never tasted before! A testament to Marco’s dedication is his obsession with quality — don’t be surprised if you catch him at local markets hand-selecting the day’s bounty. Marco loves finding the best the world has to offer for his customers: he brought Chilean Sea Bass to South Florida almost 24 years ago and he was one of the first to introduce Branzini to the South Florida dining scene. Skate, Tripletail, Corvina, the list just goes on… you can be sure to enjoy something you won’t find in other restaurants.

It is the closest thing to dining in Italy without having to take a plane!
